Destinations Visited On This 11 Day Nordic Tour
Days 1-3: Copenhagen
You’ll be based in Copenhagen for the first 3 days of your tour, with our friendly private driver guide collecting you from the airport or your accommodation in a luxury vehicle.
Spends days 1 and 2 getting to know the Danish capital. Walk through the picturesque Nyhavn Canal district, Amelienborg Palace Square, and Kongens Nytorv. Enjoy guided tours of Rosenborg Castle, where you can view the majestic Crown Jewels and Christiansborg Palace, a former residence of the Danish monarchy that is now home to the Danish Parliament, Supreme Court, and Ministry of State.
On your 3rd day, your private guide will take you on an exciting day trip to Helsingør for a guided tour of Kronborg Castle. The castle has been immortalized as Hamlet’s Castle in the famous Shakespeare play. Your guide will share stories of the castle’s links to Shakespeare and its own fascinating history as you walk through the grand rooms and eerie underground tunnels.

Days 4-5: Gothenburg
Cross the Swedish border for 2 nights in the country’s 2nd biggest city, Gothenburg.
Day 4 will be spent exploring some of the city’s top attractions. Explore Haga, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, before a guided tour of the Gothenburg Museum of Art and the elegant Gunnebo House & Gardens.
On day 5, board a private boat cruise from Gothenburg’s harbor and sail into the Bohuslän Archipelago, stretching along Sweden’s west coast. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes and stop at idyllic islands like Vrångö or Styrsö for a walk, swim, or memorable lunch.
Days 6-7: Oslo
On your 6th day, set off on a cross-border from Sweden to Norway, either by a chauffeured car journey through forests and lakes or an express train through the Nordic landscape.
Start with a tour of Aker Brygge, the lively waterfront promenade. Next is the Vigeland Sculpture Park, an open-air museum with over 200 spectacular bronze and granite sculptures.
Enjoy guided tours of two magnificent buildings, starting with the Akershus Fortress, perched above the harbor, where you can explore the stone corridors and take in stunning fjord views. Next is the Royal Palace, where you can tour the staterooms and walk around the surrounding gardens.
One of the highlights of your time in Oslo is a luxury fjord dinner cruise, gliding past the scenic islands and forested peninsulas while enjoying a beautiful meal with your travel group.
Days 8-9: Flåm
Your 8th day begins with one of the most iconic rail journeys in the world, traveling the Oslo to Flåm route. You’ll pass picturesque forests and lakes before boarding the Flåm Railway, which stops at the majestic Kjosfossen Waterfall, where passengers can stop quickly for memorable photos.
When you arrive in Flåm, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the towering cliffs and surrounding waters. Take a fjord cruise through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord and Aurlandsfjord before checking into your fjordside lodge.
On your 9th day, your guide will lead you on a guided hike to the Stegastein viewing platform, which towers above the fjord with breathtaking views for miles.
Days 10-11: Bergen
Enjoy the scenic drive to Bergen, constantly passing picturesque lakes and beautiful mountain landscapes along the way. When you arrive in Bergen, your time here begins with a guided tour of UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf. Your guide will lead you through rows of colorful 14th-century houses, sharing the area’s history as part of the Hanseatic League’s trade empire.
Ride the Fløibanen Funicular up Mount Fløyen for sweeping views of the surrounding fjords and the North Sea beyond. At the top, your guide can lead you on a gentle walk through forested trails, or you can stay put and just soak in your surroundings.
Finish the night with a farewell dinner at one of Bergen’s renowned seafood restaurants.
