Copenhagen (3 nights)

Your private guide will pick you up from Copenhagen Airport or your local accommodation to begin your tour. Spend the first three days of your tour in Copenhagen, exploring the city’s best attractions, including Rosenborg Castle, Amalienborg Palace, and the National Museum. Sail through the historic harbor on a scenic boat tour of the Nyhavn Canal, with views of attractions such as the Royal Danish Playhouse, Copenhagen Opera House, and the Little Mermaid statue.

Days 4-5: North Zealand

Hillerød (2 nights)

Depart Copenhagen and enjoy the scenic drive north to Hillerød in the heart of North Zealand. Enjoy a guided tour of Frederiksborg Castle, a renowned Renaissance landmark situated on a beautiful lake. See the Chapel of Orders, the Museum of Natural History, and a leisurely walk through the baroque gardens. Spend the afternoon in the quiet village of Liseleje. Enjoy the white sandy beaches, coastal walks, and fresh seafood.

On your 5th day, your private guide will take you to the famous Kronorg Castle, known as Hamlet’s Castle. Explore the grand halls and underground casemates, enjoying views of the Øresund Strait as your guide shares stories about the castle’s role in the famous Shakespeare play.

Spend the afternoon at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, one of the highlights of North Zealand for its cutting-edge art and beautiful sculpture gardens.

Days 6–7: Røsnæs Peninsula & Kalundborg

Røsnæs peninsula (2 nights)

Spend 2 days on North Zealand’s west coast at the stunning Røsnæs peninsula. Hike along the Røsnæs Trail, with scenic views of the cliffs and vineyard and the option to climb the Røsnæs Lighthouse. After your hike, finish the day at Dyrehøj Vingaard, Denmark’s largest vineyard, where you can learn about the winemaking process and try exclusive samples.

On Day 7, explore the historic medieval town of Kalundberg. Explore the Church of Our Lady and the quaint harbor area before a guided tour of the Kalundborg Museum.

Days 8-9: Samsø Island

Samsø Island (2 nights)

Enjoy an idyllic escape to Samsø Island for 2 days. Explore iconic wind farms that supply the island with electricity and a guided tour of the local organic farms. It’s also an excellent opportunity to try the famous Samsø potatoes, arguably the best in Denmark! Finish your time on the island by enjoying a scenic bike ride through the Nordby Hills and or relaxing on the sandy beach at Ballens Strand.  

Days 10-11 Horsens & Juelsminde

Horsens (2 nights)

Take the ferry from Samsø Island to Hou before a scenic drive inland to Horsens. Visit the Danish Industrial Museum, learn about Denmark’s Industrial Revolution, and Fængslet (The Prison Museum & Cultural Center)

On day 11, your private guide will take you on a day trip to Juelsminde, a beloved Danish holiday spot. Enjoy a relaxed day on the beach at Storstranded, or if you’d prefer, a hike to As Vig with stunning views along the way.

Days 12–13: Vejle & Fjordland

Vejle (2 nights)

On day 12, head to the scenic town of Vejle at the tip of the Vejle Fjord. See famous landmarks such as Fjordenhus and The Wave, explore the design studios at Spinderhallerne, and visit a local indoor market for locally produced products and handmade treats.

Day 13 is steeped in Viking history as you spend a few hours in the nearby town, Jelling. See the iconic Jelling Stones, which mark the birth of the Danish nation. See interactive exhibitions on Viking life at the Kongernes Jelling visitor center. Finish the afternoon back in Vejle, hiking through the picturesque Vejle Ådal.

Days 14–15: Lillebælt Region

Middelfart (2 nights)

The following two days will be spent enjoying coastal fjords and historic towns in Lillebælt. Head to Middelfaert for a porpoise safari boat tour, where you have the chance to see these shy mammals in their natural habitat. Take part in a guided bridge walk along the Old Lillebælt Bridge, a unique experience where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the strait while learning about the bridge’s history.

On day 15, you’ll spend the day in the beautiful Hindsgavl Nature Reserve, exploring oak forests and enjoying sweeping views over the fjord. There’s even time to visit the Comwell Kongebrogaarden Spa for a luxurious spa experience in an elegant fjord side setting.

Days 16–17: South Zealand

Depart Middelfart, and your guide will take you across the majestic Great Belt Bridge on your journey back to Zealand. Explore Gavnø Castle on a guided tour, walking through the castle’s lavish rooms and admiring the beautiful private art collection before walking through the manicured gardens. Carry onto the coastal town of Præstø, where you’ll stay for the next two nights.

On your 17th day, enjoy a trip to the Avnø Fjord Nature Reserve, enjoying leisurely walking trails and observation towers for birdwatching. You have the option to rent kayaks for a gentle journey across the fjord. If you prefer, you can walk along the promenade with a coffee and ice cream instead!

Days 18-19: Møn Island

Travel to Møn Island, starting at the breathtaking Møn Klint Nature Reserve, famous for its white chalk cliffs. Before exploring the cliffs, learn all about them at the GeoCenter Møns Klint, a geological museum explaining how the cliffs were formed during the Ice Age. Walk along the cliff top, towering over the Baltic Sea, with some of the most stunning views in Northern Europe.

On day 19, explore Møn’s peaceful countryside, starting in the lively town of Stege, where you walk through the cobblestone streets and visit local galleries and boutiques. Finish the day at the Dark Sky Park, a designated area with minimal light pollution, meaning you can see some of the clearest dark night skies. Admire the Milway Way in stunning detail, and enjoy a telescope session with a local astronomy expert to learn about the stars and galaxies.

Days 20-21: Return to Copenhagen

On day 20, you’ll start the scenic return journey to Copenhagen. Stop in Dragør, a picturesque 18th-century fishing village with cobbled lanes and a scenic harbor that is perfect for a walk along the promenade! Visit the Dragør Museum to learn about Denamrk’s seafaring past and the role this historic village played in WWII.

You’ll arrive in Copenhagen in the early evening for one final night in the Danish capital. On day 21, we will tailor your remaining time depending on your travel arrangements. Your private guide can stay with you right until departure time and drop you off at Copenhagen Airport if required.
